Aren

Aren is a highly capable tutor specialising in Economics and Mathematics at A Level and university level. He holds a First Class Honours degree in Economics and Mathematics from the University of Bath, where he ranked 4th out of nearly 300 graduates. He is currently completing an MSc in Mathematical Modelling for Global Health at the University of Oxford, where he continues to build on his strong quantitative background.

Aren has experience tutoring students in both A Level and undergraduate Economics, drawing on his academic training in advanced econometrics, linear algebra, time series analysis, and statistical programming in R. His undergraduate dissertation, which analysed the economic impact of COVID-19-related disruptions to NHS cancer services, was selected for publication in the Bath Student Economic Journal.

He is particularly effective in helping students understand how mathematical concepts apply to real-world economic problems, and supports students preparing for exams, university courses, or subject extension. Aren combines a clear and practical teaching style with strong academic insight.

In addition to his academic work, Aren has represented Oxford in the 1st XI football team and previously captained teams at both Bath University and King’s College School, Wimbledon. His combination of discipline, clarity, and enthusiasm makes him especially well-suited to students aiming to excel in quantitative subjects.
