Ashruf

Ashruf is an experienced tutor specialising in Mathematics and Physics. He graduated from Clare College, University of Cambridge, with a BA (Hons) in Engineering, specialising in Information and Computer Engineering. His studies included advanced Mathematics, Probability, Statistical Signal Processing and Optimisation.

Ashruf supports students at GCSE and A Level, tutoring Mathematics and Physics at both levels, alongside GCSE Biology and Chemistry. He also provides university admissions support, particularly for Mathematics, Engineering and related courses, including personal statements, admissions test preparation and mock interviews.

Ashruf has tutored Mathematics and Physics since 2022, with 90% of his students achieving A or A* grades. His teaching is conversational and example-led, working through challenging problems collaboratively to build genuine understanding rather than relying on memorised methods. He encourages students to think independently, develop confidence and approach unfamiliar questions with greater flexibility.

Ashruf achieved an A* in A Level Mathematics, ranking first in his cohort, alongside A grades in Further Mathematics and Physics. He has also supported students through competitive university applications, with his admissions students securing first-choice university offers, including five offers from Oxford and Cambridge. His strong mathematical and engineering background, combined with his proven tutoring results, makes him especially well suited to students aiming for top grades in Mathematics and Physics and those preparing for competitive university applications.
