Lucy

Lucy is a thoughtful and encouraging tutor specialising in Religious Studies, Psychology, and English at GCSE, A Level, and IB. She studied Theology, Religion and Philosophy of Religion at Clare College, University of Cambridge, graduating with a 2:1 and receiving the Don Stebbings Prize for her contribution to the faculty.

Lucy has tutored since 2015 and now works with a wide range of students, including those studying independently, attending top UK schools, or being homeschooled due to SEND or mental health needs. She teaches students across multiple syllabuses and has supported them through exams, university applications, and Oxbridge interviews. She also offers personal statement guidance and academic mentoring focused on revision planning and study strategies.

Her own academic journey informs her empathetic and determined approach. After facing extenuating circumstances during sixth form, Lucy retook her A Levels during a planned gap year and secured a place at Cambridge. She now uses this experience to help students aim high and build the confidence needed to succeed.

In addition to tutoring, Lucy has worked with schools, councils, and families to provide one-to-one academic support. Her background as a nanny for a high-profile family further strengthened her commitment to helping children thrive both personally and academically.
