Maria

Maria is a Mathematics graduate from the University of Cambridge, and is a dedicated full-time Mathematics tutor with over 7 years’ experience. Being the first person in her school’s history to be admitted into Oxbridge for Mathematics, Maria knows exactly how to prepare for Mathematics examinations and interviews. With over 7 years of tutoring experience – and 5 years of specialising in Oxbridge admissions – Maria has developed her own unique curriculum for these exams, and has authored many original materials, mock papers and problem sheets (for MAT, TMUA, STEP, Oxbridge interviews). Due to her vast experience and comprehensive training, many of the problems and techniques from her lessons and problem sheets show up in real Oxbridge interviews and admission tests, and typically at least 7 of her students yearly receive questions in their interviews that Maria has trained them for. Maria has a high success rate, with many of her students being admitted into either Oxford or Cambridge yearly for Mathematics and joint-degrees. Maria knows first hand the common mistakes students make on these examinations and how to score full marks in questions.

Apart from Oxbridge admissions, Maria also tutors students for GCSEs and A Levels. Maria has supported many students to increase by 3 grades or more in their A Level exams. Recently, she supported a student to go from Grade D to A* in A Level Maths in 3 months.

Maria has achieved A*A*A*A*A in her A Levels, and obtained 3 A Levels (Maths, Further Maths and Additional Further Maths) in Mathematics after sitting all 18 Modules in the old specification. She scored 100% in nearly every of her modules, and has achieved one of the highest marks in the UK in all 3 of her Mathematics A Levels. In particular, Maria completely self-taught A Level Additional Further Maths. In addition to this, Maria has achieved 88% in the AEA for Mathematics (Advanced Extension Award) and Grades S/1/1 in her STEP exams. She also been awarded multiple Golds in the UKMT competitions (SMC), as well as a Distinction in the British Maths Olympiad.
