
Mark
Mark is a highly experienced tutor specialising in History, English, and Mathematics. He holds a Double First in History from the University of Cambridge, where he was awarded the Joslin Essay-Writing Prize for Economic History and went on to earn a Distinction in his Master’s degree. He previously studied at KCS Wimbledon, achieving a perfect 45/45 in the International Baccalaureate and 14 A*s at GCSE.
With over 3,000 hours of tutoring experience, Mark has worked with more than 100 students across the past decade. He has supported students from a wide range of age groups and academic backgrounds, helping them succeed in school entrance exams (11+, 13+, and 16+), as well as GCSE, A Level, and IB. His students have consistently outperformed their predicted grades and secured places at leading schools including Eton, Harrow, Winchester, St Paul’s, KCS Wimbledon, and Godolphin and Latymer.
Mark’s lessons are structured, rigorous, and tailored to the individual. He specialises in building both subject mastery and exam technique, focusing on essay writing, revision planning, and time management. He also mentors undergraduate students and has successfully supported those facing academic difficulties to graduate with Firsts and 2:1s.
His teaching style is warm and intellectually engaging, with an emphasis on developing long-term confidence and academic independence.
